Mamina, a mother suffering from Alzheimer's, is in the final stages of her life. The disease has destroyed her short-term memory, a significant portion of her motor skills, and all but one remaining memory: her time with her daughter, Daniela. Throughout the film, we see the real-world effects of Alzheimer's, as her world is deteriorating, Mamina tries to hold on to the last thing that makes her feel safe—her memories.
